Open Letter to U S FTC, FCC, FBI, and Justice from me Gloria Poole in Springfield Missouri

This open letter to the U.S. agencies Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Dept of Justice is intended to help millions of U S citizens, and is written by me because it involves events that have been forced upon me in an unlawful manner. I am making a public record of this for myself but for every woman who is a victim of violence by an intimate "partner"[husband; ex-husband; boy friend;date] and for "liberty and justice for all" . I have these questions I would like somebody with the power to investigate and prosecute the people involved, to publicly answer these questions in some way, and to follow up so changes are made that help vulnerable women and children.

My questions of you all are:

1) Why are telephone carriers allowed to hire people who handle confidential information, bank, credit cards and set up phones, who had no background check?

2) Why are some telco companies allowed to exploit women who are victims of violence who have a handicap as a result of violence?

3) Why have telco carriers allowed to slough off prepaid customers, or use treachery and deceit to attempt to force them into a post-paid plan?

4) Why is ATandT allowed to label prepaid refills, on their automated system, as "payments"? The word "payments" implies an obligation, a legal contract. Refills are NOT payments but refills. They are not owed to the carrier. They are supposed to be applied in full to the prepaid phone not "shared"with the carrier or the carrier's employees. All prepaid phones have to be bought upfront before leaving the store with them. There are NO payments due on prepaid phones. The purpose of prepaid is to not pay for more than is needed, and to have the flexibility to add more money as needed. And not have unexpected " overages".

5) Why does ATandT ASSUME all prepaid customers who are white,women, U S citizens speak a language other than English? Is not English the language of these United States any longer? I think I have told ATandT I speak ONLY ENGLISH several times every month for about 13 years yet they begin their conversation with me in foreign language. WHY?

6) Are all telcos located outside the continental United States and the retail stores visible in cities are fronts? Clerks in those stores don't seem to have a clue how to put the telephone number from a large SIM card onto a new nano-SIM that came preinstalled in a new " upgrade" even when I showed them the paper receipt, the box it came in and both phones, where I bought the upgrade at a retail store. Do carriers not honor their own logos and brands?

7) Why are ATandT clerks allowed to remove [and in 2 instances, keep secretly] the preinstalled or previous SIM and substitute a fake one, known in the law, as SIm-Jacking? Why is the customer who has the old phone with old SIM and the new phone with new SIM branded ATandT considered to be in the wrong if clerk destroys old SIM, puts in fake SIM in new üpgrade"keeps preinstalled SIM?

8)Why are telcos not expected to honor their own branded merchandise bought legitimately in a retail store such as "big box retailers" for affordable price, [as opposed to phones sold in ATandT for nearly a thousand ]? Are those big box retailers selling fake phones? Or do they have an agreement with telcos? And if so, why does ATandT retail stores'clerks say they cannot put number on SIM bought in store other than ATandT retail? Or even the phone ATandT ships to customer? Are ATandT clerks taught skills? or are they mere appearances of staff?

9) In what other industry does the seller of any product sold in the U S. have the audacity to coerce their customers to buy new something when the seller wants to sell it? Can car dealers lock buyer out of the vehicles they buy, deprecate vehicles' software, make it unusable, contact buyer to tell them they MUST bring car back to that seller and they MUST buy new car from that seller? Can appliance sellers do that? Can any other industry in US use strong-arm tactics to force consumers to buy anything? ATandT intercepted [redirected, forwarded my calls on 2 prepaid phones of mine to themselves to prevent me from using my phones that I bought and activated YEARS ago,] that were working til ATandT decided to try slam my numbers to a murderer, and then tried a bait and switch manuever to try trick me out of my number. ATandT did swindle me out of my iphone number that I bought when I bought my Virgin Mobile iphone [consumers buy their tel nums with Virgin Mobile] and they did swindle me out of 1 virtual number of mine through tricks and deceit, and SIM jacked 1 of my SIMs for 1 of my 2 virtual numbers I paid CenturylLink for,when I went to buy an upgrade smartphone to port those virtual numbers too. I paid for those 2 virtual numbers for about 10 years as part of a post-paid CenturyLink landline, listed in telephone directory, telephone/internet account when I lived in Columbia Missouri for years 2008-2018. ATandT seems to have a corporate culture of swindling women. Why is that legal in US?

10) Why must prepaid customers in the United States, who bought prepaid phones in the United States, be forced to communicate with unknown persons [clerks in call centers] in foreign countries who ask for confidential info and have access to bank card info? Why must citizens of the U S get permission to use the " upgrades" they bought upfront by asking Latin America is it ok? Has United States become a territory of Mexico?

11) Why are cell phone carriers allowed to publish endless propaganda about how necessary 5G is to the United States? The United States does not force all citizens to buy the latest, most expensive model of vehicles to use the highways. The United States does not force citizens to buy the newest, most expensive refrigerator, or T.V. so why is the assumption that cell phones [still a luxury, not a necessity] are a different category of product? Where is the FTC on these issues?

12) Why are telcos publishing lie after lie about 5G? It is not even operational in huge swaths of the nation. The so-called 5G phones which has the only obvious advantage to the merchant of being much more expensive, have a switch that says if you turn off 2G you may not get a signal in some places. 5G is not the saviour of these United States. The U.K. in BBC article recently said their infrastructure will be 2 G for at least another 10 years. Where is truth in telephones concept about marketing? Why are telcos telling public 5G is more secure when cell phones/smartphones are RADIO air waves that float through air, with no real security? P> 13) Why must so-called " upgrades" result in the loss to the consumer of all photos, messages, content on the previous "old" 4G ,3G, 2G phones? Why should consumers have to accept that "deal"of more expense to them, no better service, and loss of content they created in some cases over years of time? Is that supposed to be a good deal for consumers?

14) Why are telcos not expected to put all old, previous content from old/previous iteration of cell phones/smartphones onto new upgrade for the customer? What happened to customer service in the telephone industry?

15) How much power does the Union of Communications Workers exert on prolife citizens? Do they cause these problems?

Also, for the record, I also have T-Mobile phones and a "home phone"on U S Cellular. And thank GOD since some phones are becoming iffy as certain telcos try to coerce me into their schemes.
